Winston is Going to The Vet

Hes going to the vet today. I suspect my rat, Winston may have myco from the shavings he was kept in at the pet shop. I say it all the time, NEVER use shavings, use my eco friendly home made bedding in which you can find in the video section on the how-to make it.

 Winston will have a physical exam, and be prescribed medicine as needed. I'll keep you updated.
BE MYCO ALERT. Myco is a bacteria very common in rats, that kills the rat at an early age and causes severe breathing problems. Myco symtoms are sneezing, weird noises, red discharge of the nose and or eyes, wheezing in sleep, making a "honk" noise, or a "grunt" noise, or any other strange behavior which makes it appear the rat is having trouble breathing. Consult a vet if your rat displays any of these warning signs. A drug call baytril is commonly prescribed. Choose your vet wisely!
